We have been notified that our IT systems are now back up and running. However, due to the outage on Friday and over the weekend, we have a backlog of appointments and prescriptions to catch up on. It may therefore take slightly longer to process prescriptions and this may also affect appointment availability so we would appreciate it if you could contact us with anything less urgent later on in the week. Thank you to all our patients for your understanding and we apologise for any inconvenience the national IT issue may have caused.
You may notice a test result appear in your NHS app referring to segmentation. Segmentation is a simple way of categorising patients based on their specific health needs. It helps us as a practice understand the individual needs of our patients based on their health and wellbeing to support personalised care and ensures you get the right support in a timely way.
Training Practice
Kings Corner Surgery is approved by the Oxford School of General Practice as a training practice with Dr Hamid and Dr Choudry as a GP trainers.
This is a great achievement for the practice as training practices are expected to meet and maintain high standards of clinical care.
As a result, patients may find that some of the doctors here are called trainees in the future. This means that they are fully trained doctors who have chosen to extend their training to become General Practitioners and will spend time at this surgery learning the specific skills needed for general practice. We hope that this will help improve the quality and type of services we can provide for our patients at Kings Corner Surgery and to promote the surgery as an outstanding learning environment and help create future General Practitioners.
